Collection of Your Personal Information
In general, you can visit the Site without telling us who you are or providing any information about yourself. In some areas of the Site, we ask you to provide information that will enable us to process an order, offer services that require registration, assist you with technical support issues or follow up with you. Generally, Hi-Point® Firearms requests identifying information when you:
- Register on our Site.
- Place an order.
- Provide feedback to an online survey or tell us about an idea or suggestion.
- Participate in a rebate program, contest, or other promotional offers.
- Request a SPECIAL SERVICE.
- Request information or files from technical support or customer service.
In these instances, Hi-Point® Firearms may ask for your name, address, e-mail address, phone number and other appropriate information needed to provide you with these services, including your credit card number, firearm serial number, and purchase history. Some information is obtained automatically through ordinary application use and consists primarily of anonymous usage statistics, but also includes first- and third-party “Cookies” as defined in this Statement of Privacy. For proper functionality of our Sites and services, some anonymous usage data and first-party Cookies are required to be collected. In all instances, if you receive a newsletter or other mailing from us, you will always be able to “unsubscribe” to these mailings at any time.
Use of Your Personal Information
If you choose to give us personal information for any of the purposes above, this information is retained by Hi-Point® Firearms and will only be used by Hi-Point® Firearms to fulfill the business purpose for which it was collected and/or as required by applicable laws and regulations. We will not store, use, or disclose your information in any way that is incompatible with the business purpose for which it was collected or stored as described in this privacy policy without your consent. We will not add you to a mailing list, or newsletter without your registration for this service. We will only contact you if further information is required from you to complete a service.
Disclosure of Your Personal Information
Hi-Point® Firearms does not share, rent, or sell any personally identifying information provided through our Site (such as your name or email address) to any outside organization for use in its marketing or solicitations. From time to time Hi-Point® Firearms may use agents or contractors (“Service Providers”) who will have access to your personal information to perform services for Hi-Point® Firearms (such as DATABASE MAINTENANCE, PRODUCT UPDATES, SERVER MAINTENANCE, ETC.), however, they are required by us to keep the information confidential and may not use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services for Hi-Point® Firearms. In addition, Hi-Point® Firearms may also share aggregate information about its customers and its web site visitors to advertisers, business partners, and other third parties. For example, we might share that our users are x percent PCs users and y percent Macintosh users. None of this information, however, will contain personal, identifying information about our users.

Security of Your Personal Information
Hi-Point® Firearms secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Our Site secures the personally identifiable information you provide to us on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to Service Providers, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
Our Site is designed to give you options concerning the privacy of your identifying information. If you choose, you can set up an account. This will allow you to have a customized order page for express ordering and to view your purchasing history. To protect your privacy, we have designed the Site to include certain steps to verify your identity before granting you access or enabling you to make corrections in an account. You will always have access to this account information and can view it, update it or correct it at any time. To access your information, you will need to use a password.
When purchasing products through the Site, the order form will also ask you to provide a daytime telephone number. However, the telephone number is only used to quickly resolve questions relative to an order, such as to clarify customer email addresses that are inactive or entered incorrectly.
We will store your information only as long as is reasonably necessary and proportionate to fulfill the business purpose for which it was collected and/or as required by applicable laws and regulations. Your information collected by us is stored in the United States of America and may be subject to the laws thereof.

Hi-Point® Firearms does provide links to other sites. Other Internet sites and services have separate privacy and data collection practices. Once you leave the Site, Hi-Point® Firearms cannot control and has no responsibility for, the privacy policies or data collection activities at another site.
Cookies
At times, we will use a feature on your web browser to send your computer a “cookie”. We do not use cookies to retrieve any personal information from your computer. We only use cookies to learn ways to enhance the Site, and to give you better, more personalized service while on our Site. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is sent. However, some functions of the Site will not function if you refuse cookies. These areas of our Site will have information posted about cookies, and when a cookie will be uploaded to your computer.
Rights to Your Personal Information

We will require you to identify yourself and the information you request to disclose to you, remove, modify or correct before commencing such requests. Information provided for verification purposes is used only for those purposes and is not saved or retained.
Please note that we may continue to contact you where we have a legitimate basis to do so (such as, to email you in response to an inquiry from you, to fulfill an order or request, or to provide services you have requested). We will not knowingly discriminate against you for exercising any of your applicable privacy rights.
When we provide access to your information for the purposes of modification, correction, or removal, we do so free of charge except where doing so requires an unreasonable effort. Additionally, in some instances, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee, where allowed by law, to cover administrative costs associated with complying with requests when a consumer has made more than one request within a 12-month period.
We will confirm receipt of a verifiable consumer request within 10 business days and provide information about how the request will be processed. We will locate the requested information, and, if available, will take the requested action with regards to your verifiable request. We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) calendar days of its receipt.
Removal of information is possible under certain circumstances, provided that we do not have a legitimate or lawful purpose to retain it or are otherwise required by law to retain it. We may refuse requests that we believe are fraudulent, are of unreasonable technical effort or would be highly unfeasible, endanger the privacy of others, or require access that is not normally necessary. We may also deny a request if we cannot verify the consumer within the 45-day time period. If we require more time (up to 90 calendar days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. We will respond to a verifiable request in the same format in which the original request was made.
If you receive notice that we have denied your request, consumers in some states may be entitled to submit an appeal to us, in certain circumstances. If you believe our decision was made in error and wish to request reconsideration of your inquiry, please contact us with a brief explanation.
California Privacy Rights
Pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act, and as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively the “CCPA”), California residents may have additional rights regarding their “Personal Information” and “Sensitive Personal Information” as those terms are defined by the CCPA. Please note that we do not sell your Personal Information or Sensitive Personal Information. We reserve the right to limit these rights where permitted under applicable law, including where your identity cannot be reasonably verified or to the extent your rights adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.
Under the CCPA, you may exercise these rights yourself or you may designate an authorized agent to make these requests on your behalf by submitting a verifiable request. We may request that your authorized agent have written permission from you to make requests on your behalf and may need to verify your authorized agent’s identity.
In order to complete your verifiable request, you must provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the individual whose Personal Information you have requested, and you must describe your request with sufficient information that allows us to properly respond to it. Please note that we may deny your verifiable request if we cannot confirm your or your authorized agent’s identity. We may also deny or only partially complete your verifiable request if required pursuant to other legal rights and obligations we may have. We may request additional Personal Information in order to respond to your verifiable request. Hi-Point® Firearms is sensitive to the heightened need to protect the privacy of persons under the age of 18. The vast majority of the material on our Site is not intended for children and is not targeted to persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children and, if we learn that we have received personal data from a child, we will remove this information from our database.
